***MySQL 5.0.21, a new version of the popular Open Source Database ***

Management System, has been released, and an OS/2 & eComStation build is
now available from http://smedley.info/os2ports.html

This is a bugfix release for the current production release family.

This MySQL 5.0.21 release includes the patches for recently reported
security vulnerabilites in the MySQL client-server protocol. We would like
to thank Stefano Di Paola <stefano.dipaolaDESPAM at DESPAMwisec.it> for 
finding and reporting these to us.

Release Notes:
  1) DLL is now provided, significantly reducing the size of the client
utilities
  2) libs\*, include\* are now provided
  3) built with libc06 CSD1 so libc061.dll is required - this can be
downloaded from ftp://ftp.netlabs.org/pub/gcc/libc-0.6.1-csd1.zip
  4) this has currently had fairly limited testing - but it is running now
on my server and being used successfully with my build of PHP 5.1.3
  5) Command line history is now working correctly
  6) All bug reports should be submitted via the bug tracker at
http://mantis.smedley.info

For new users of MySQL - an initial set of data tables as created via the
mysql_install_db script is available from
http://smedley.info/mysql5inittable.zip - this should be unzipped into the
