Additional Considerations for Service Pack Two You may make copies of the Windows NT Service Pack equal to the number of licensed copies of Windows NT (PowerPC Edition) you possess. You may only use this Service Pack CD for maintenance purposes. All other terms and conditions of your Windows NT (PowerPC Edition) license agreement apply to this Service Pack; however, this does not extend any warranty outlined in such Agreement. II. Installation of Service Pack 2 1. Pre-Installation Considerations. This service pack is designed for Windows NT 3.51 Workstation or Server PM (PowerPC Edition) Power Managed Version Z. To check your version, click on "Help" in Program Manager. Pick "About" from the bottom of the list to see the version. If it does not say: "Version 3.51 (Build 1057: Power Managed Version Z)" Contact 800-772-2227 and choose options 4-1-3 to reach a Power Series Support Representative who will help you obtain the Power Managed Code. 2. Installation of Service Pack 2. You will need approximately 45MB of free space to install Service Pack 2. Download the Service Pack 2 executable NTPPCSP2.EXE. This file should be placed in an empty sub-directory. To execute the file type the following from an NT command window: NTPPCSP2.EXE -d -sPPC This will expand all the service pack files needed to perform the update. To run the update type: START UPDATE When it completes, you will have to shutdown and reboot for the changes to take effect. 3. Post-Installation Considerations. Once you have installed the Service Pack, you can delete all the files in the sub-directory you used. If you add additional hardware or system software to the machine, you will want to re-run the update again to update any new files on the system.
