RexxMail is an e-mail client that makes full use of the wide range of features offered by the OS/2 Workplace Shell for managing and processing files as objects. RexxMail features include: * standard WPS interface; * full command-line access to all functions; * send mail from the standard RexxMail Out folder or from any other folder on your desktop, including the desktop itself (of course); * edit and view mail messages using your favourite editor and/or text viewer; * add addresses (from any mail message or address text list) to messages using standard drag & drop methods; * add attachments to messages using standard drag & drop methods; * compatible with external junk mail filter software; * compatible with external virus mail filter software; * optional full message transmission status indicator, including byte counter and progress bar; * display message dates in RFC or ISO-sorted form; * display message times as original, local system, or UTC times; * determine time zone offset from external time (RFC 868) server; * user exits to run external programs before/after opening user folders, before/after collecting mail, before/after sending mail; * user exits to run external programs for collecting and sending mail; * user exits to run external programs for processing incoming and outgoing attachments; * user-customizable signals for different messages; * process or create (and optionally edit) messages from the command line, a user script, or any other program with user exits; * add attachments to messages from the command line, a user script, or any other program with user exits; * automagically collect/delete/skip mail waiting on a POP3 mail server, based on content, sender, recipients, subject, junk mail flags, and/or virus mail flags; * automagically move incoming mail to specific folders (or delete it) after collecting or viewing, based on content, sender, recipients, subject, junk mail flags, and/or virus mail flags; * automagically move outgoing mail to specific folders (or delete it) after sending, based on content, sender, recipients, and/or subject; * optionally collect mail from a POP3 server through an interactive interface that lets you: o collect a message and delete it from the server; o collect a message and leave it on the server; o delete a message from the server without collecting it; o skip a message on the server for later processing; and much, much more. ¸ 2006 M.C. de Geus http://www.degeus.com/rexxmail/
