Following are improvements and problems fixed since UltiMail Version 2.00 was released with OS/2 Warp version 3.0 in November 1994. Release 2.10.004 ---------------- This CSD fixes MANY problems (fixes from the Ultimail workgroup version are also incorporated). In addition, we made small enhancements to performance and usability. Some of the bugs fixed are: - Multiple items cannot be deleted from the address book index. - The MLE inserts extra blank lines when sending a letter. - Deleting multiple open letters causes traps. - Double message prompt on folder creation when saving and sending a letter. - Print from OBJMLE truncates lines of text. - Quoted printables were not being encoded correctly. - Text in a letter gets translated each time it is refreshed - Two x-mailer lines appears in the letter header area. - Accessing the network dialog box is displayed even if prompt is turned off. - Accessing the network dialog box prompts with the initial logon password verification dialog box although it's not the first logon. - MAKEIDX traps. Known Problems - If using both LAN and dialup services and the in-basket is accessed before connecting with the dailer, subsequent in-basket refreshes will fail. Restart Ultimail to access the dial network POP server. Usability - Mail cabinet can be set to detail view and folders can be set to icon view. - New keywords added to the OPTIONS tag in UMAIL.PRO to control the prompting of user information (see the FAQ). Release 2.10.001 ---------------- Only a few changes and fixes have been made since 2.10. The major area being install procedures and packaging for software update and ftp distribution processes. - Trap after 15 minutes when opening the In-basket, closing the In-basket and leaving UltiMail running. The automatic download of new mail into the closed In-basket would trap. - The 'replyto' settings where not saved - The session color settings where not saved - Trap when changing folder names - Trap when invoking the tutorial from the new letter help pulldown - Letters in a ring get moved to the same folder as the topmost letter in the ring if all letters get closed through the system menu - Trap when deleting a letter without parts Release 2.10 (ships with Warp Connect) ------------ Performance Many performance improvements have been made for this version; in particular the performance of opening/closing folders and letters has been significantly improved. Usability - Initial cursor position in a new letter is now always in the address field. - For text, the default setting for word wrap is on. - Addresses in the addressbook are now entered as one string instead of the userid@domain form with two fields. - New and improved header layout. - The table of contents for a letter has been moved to the right and is only open when there are two or more parts. A paperclip icon in the header area shows the number of parts and allows to show/hide the table of contents. - Mail folders can now be created automatically by entering a new name in the folder field of the envelope header. Bug fixes Just a few ones are mentioned here, there where a lot more corrected. - Word wrap setting for the text editor is now saved between invocations - Trap when pasting more than 200 characters into the text field - UltiMail will correctly detect when the POP server connection breaks and not go into an endless loop any more. - When changing the Advantis password, UltiMail will now automatically reflect the change if you start UltiMail while logged on. Otherwise it will detect the change and ask for confirmation.
