I'm having a few problems with it, possibly wet-ware, (user bit wet behind the ears). The documentation is written by heavy-duty network nerds, (no offence meant), people who don't have a PHD in networking could find it a bit heavy-going to get it set-up. I can get http working, but a caching DNS proxy seems to die after a while. Could be iPrimus though, . I'd be interested about periodic pulling of sites. Internet Gate & Maccasoft in general are a joke, I've never received responses from them when I've emailed. Use wget as a site puller? I can sort of see how this could be done, but its like having the raw ingredients for a gourmet meal, without the cookbook, they are useless. Some worked examples of using these solutions would be A Good Thing. Perhaps I'll email the authors & see what can be done. Can you help with some worked solutions Ian? I think you would probably have to use a small rexx script combined with something like CRON, which is what I use on all the OS/2 servers. There must be a way to refresh the cache with an update cache contents command but I'm away from the docs. >Internet Gate & Maccasoft in general are a joke, I've never >received responses from them when I've emailed. I've not sure why I registered WebMirror, it had a bad habit of crashing on me, I havent really used it since until the other night, or was that last night, its all a blur.... >Use wget as a site puller? use the -m mirror switch, yes, that would work, with a schedular like CRON. >I can sort of see how this could be done, but its like having the raw >ingredients for a gourmet meal, without the cookbook, they are useless. >Some worked examples of using these solutions would be A Good Thing. >Perhaps I'll email the authors & see what can be done. >Can you help with some worked solutions Ian? Yes, when I'm back in the land of the sane. Cheers Ian Manners End====================================
