I may try that on one of my other personal machines if I upgrade them with heaps of ram one day. This problem PC is full with regards to slots and as it's old there aren't any spare DIMMs or SIMMs of larger size around here. I will probably have to run with at least a small swapper. I have been meaning to look at SysInfo for a while now, so I may do that sometime. Thanks, Craig 3==================================== Subject: Re: [os2genau] RAM, Thread, what ever problem. Yeah. Tricky WPS being too smart. I use cmd line also, and use Theseus after boot to make sure the DLL was not loaded. > >What was NS46DRAG.DLL doing loaded so early on? > Maybe Java ? Some other utility ? Wierd. Java had not been started. Nothing much had been started at all. The 'owner' of the DLL was shown as 'system'. > >Well it's renamed now so I'll see if that helps my system be more stable. > > Should be, maybe, maybe not :-) It may make netscape more stable I suppose, but the DLL being loaded at bootup is interesting as none of my other PCs do it and they're a similar version, FP, java, netscape, etc, configuration. Had problems with my computer, which were eventually traced to the power supply. However in the process of trying to establish the cause of the problems, the HDD was reformatted. The drive was partitioned and three OS were scheduled to be installed. Windows Me was installed in C: (fat16) OS/2 Warp 4 failed to install in D: (hpfs). After innumeral attempts in which the installation would fall over in mid stream, and after trying all possible changes to the CMOS ( This is a KT7 board with an Athlon 1Gb.), pulling of hairs, and getting frustrated to the hilt, I removed WinMe, by formatting C:. Problem solved, OS/2 Warp4 went in as if trough a tube. Fixpac15 was installed with out any problems and my computer was its old self again. It is my suspicion that Windows ME has deliberatively placed something in its program to prevent OS/2 from being installed. Linux SuSE 7.1 was further installed in HHD 2, and WinMe was subsequently installed in C:. Anyway, the message is: If you are going to reinstall OS/2, plase make sure you remove WinMe before you even start.
