I had thought that I had ended up on one of those email address lists people keep trying to sell me. But I was wrong, The mail was being sent with a "Undisclosed.Recipientsatpeninsula.starway dot net dot au" in the To field. I've sent a note to the tech support bods, but it struck me that it has to be something in the mail administration which takes that address and forwards copies of the message to all mail accounts. Any info on this would be welcome. Regards Dennis. 2============================================== From: "Ian Manners" Date: Fri, 09 Nov 2001 14:00:07 +1100 (EDT) Subject: Re: [os2genau] Spam Hi Dennis >I had a look at the headers of the spam I've been getting lately. >I had thought that I had ended up on one of those email address lists >people keep trying to sell me. >But I was wrong, The mail was being sent with a >"Undisclosed.Recipientsatpeninsula.starway dot net dot au" in the To field. If you can forward me some of this spam, headers and all, or better yet, if Internet Adventurer v1.50 for OS/2 allows you to "bounce" email, which it may not be able to. I'll check the headers for you to see were its really coming from. >I've sent a note to the tech support bods, but it struck me that it has >to be something in the mail administration which takes that address and >forwards copies of the message to all mail accounts. send spam complaints to abuseat...... the tech people normally ignore spam complaints, or by the time they act on it and pass it to the right person, the logs for that dialin at the ISP concerned have been deleted, or archived.
