I did have a look at the Java setting in Warpzilla, and they are enabled. I'll see if some other java enabled sites die in the guts. There are no error messages, it just sits there with a transfering data statement at the bottom of warpzilla. My mistake. Banking functions still work though. That's a plus. Cheers........ and thanks Kris for making me double check :-) gavin 5============================================== Date: Sun, 06 Jan 2002 00:54:49 +0100 From: Kris Steenhaut Subject: Re: [os2genau] E- banking and Mozilla Gavin Miller schreef: > version and now I don't since the upgrade. As for the warpzilla java setting, I assume the profile conversion from communicator 4.61 has kept the Enable Java option in preferences. For those of you daring enough who want a different style boot manaer, check out the following announcement. Go to either of the mentioned newsgroups for further info. No I havent tried it myself. Happy New Year Regards Dennis. ==================BEGIN FORWARDED MESSAGE================== From: martinatkiewitz.de (Martin Kiewitz) Newsgroups: comp.os.os2.misc,comp.os.os2.programmer.misc Subject: AiR-BOOT v0.24b RELEASEd Date: Thu, 27 Dec 2001 10:55:21 +0100 Organization: T-Online Lines: 33 Well, finally next Public Beta got released today as late X-Mas present AiR-BOOT is a Multi-Boot-Loader, which sits completely (including its setup) in the MBR, which means no real space on the harddisc is used. It has advanced anti-viral protection, colored Setup/BootMenu, special Linux support, Password-Protection and much more. Get more info and download v0.24b from http://kiewitz.ath.cx/air-boot/. =PLEASE DONT UPLOAD this Public Beta to *ANY* FTP/HTTP Site.= Next version will include Hiding partitions/Partition Setup and perhaps some sort of FDISK-like tool. Fixes this time: - Second Open-Public Beta Version - EZ-SETUP Detection (will not install on such systems) - Scrolling in Bootmenu now possible (if more than 14 bootable partitions) - Floppy: Get VolumeLabel and the Every-2-Seconds-Get Option are now functional. - AIRBSET may be executed from the floppy, where it will write to. previously this resulted into an error-message and a damaged disc - Delay for entering Setup got expanded cu Kiewitz P.S.: I will get some time for fixing up more MDOS-games soon. -- 8============================================== From: "Robert Traynor (BobT)" Date: Sun, 06 Jan 2002 20:23:15 +1100 Subject: Re: [os2genau] AiR-BOOT v0.24b RELEASEd Hi Dennis and ALL. NO. NO. WAIT.! There will be a new beta released soon. I am assisting Martin Kiewitz with his Air-Boot program. One of the earlier versions trashed Win2000 although Os/2, Win98 etc were ok. The latest version 0.26b "pre-release" I tested today is quite useable but Martin is still adding extra functions and still got at least one more bugfix to go. Some of the earlier betas had problems with systems with more than 15 partitions. This has been fixed, although there is still a 30 partition limit. Martyin says he could code around that limit but does not see the need to do so. My own system has upto 20 partitions and is ok (so far). So if you want a boot manager that does not take up a Primary partition and will boot damn near anything, WAIT for v0.26 or 0.27. Should be released in next few days. Mozilla/Warpzilla doesn't know, doesn't care, doesn't do anything with java11. Mozilla/Warpzilla need java13. Nothing less, nothing more. So question is: is java13 enabled for Mozilla/Warpzilla? The answer is yes on two conditions: 1. You have installed java13 (preferable onto your boot drive). 2. You have installed (copied) the plugin: 16-10-01 15:20 156.023 0 a--- npoji6.dll into the Mozilla/Warpzilla plugin directory. Unlike Netscape 4* java11, the Mozilla/Warpzilla have look for the java through the plugin *dll, and into that *dll has been hardcoded the path \java13 in the boot partition. Incidentally, java13 doesn't know the item "classpath" either. It's in *.jar files now, and as I told already, the apps are supposed to find their java13 through a plugin or kind alike program. -- Groeten uit Gent, Kris 10============================================== From: "Robert Traynor (BobT)" Date: Sun, 06 Jan 2002 20:34:40 +1100 Subject: Re: [os2genau] E- banking and Mozilla Gavin, Can I borrow your Dr. Who time machine please.?
