I am jumping in here anew since I have the same symptoms as Graham, and having been lurking on this thread with interest. I have installed Update 2 from ECS but this Odin thing I have had since Update 1. It hasn't been a problem since we don't do a lot of Win32. I downloaded that zip file, but having looked inside and seen how much there is, I am cautious about unzipping everything, installing and then not being able to back out cleanly. How would I recover from this heart transplant surgery ie. what if the fix doesn't solve my problem? I have zipped up the current OS2LDR and OS2KRNL files but what else should I be saving - "JUST IN CASE" - everything represented in the zip? Alternatively, could I just unzip and install the OS2LDR and OS2KRNL files only? Mac users have had the same problem for years & lets face-it, whilst not as technically elegant, having a file server for shared files & networked workstations running the real OS natively is the simplest/cheapest way to go. Plus you can get support if something goes wrong :) What I want to do is allow files created on Windoze, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint et-al) to be converted to PDFs. Once they are in that format, I can easily read, print or fax them from eCS. This solution would solve 90% my, (& others), eCS / Windows compatability problems. Well, I've put a lacklustre text/ps in the field. The first time it didn't work, but the second time NS configured automagically itself in respect to gvpm.exe.
