BEFORE running FIX.cmd, add SET SHELLHANDLESINC=25 to the CONFIG.SYS and reboot! This increases the default number of file handles each PM process can allocate (default is probably 20). It's undocumented, and can fix some FixTool (SERVICE.exe, etc.) problems, especially for FP13 & FP14. May not be needed for FP15. Cheers Ian B Manners A feature is a bug with seniority. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- **= Email 2 ==========================** Date: Mon, 09 Sep 2002 22:56:24 +1000 (EST) From: "Daryl Pilkington" Subject: [os2genau] PCI parallel port cards Hi Ed, Can confirm the print01.sys works with the following: Description: 1 port PCI parallel card. Part #: PCI-PT9805-1P Chipset: NetMos Nm9805CV Config.sys: BASEDEV=print01.sys /shr /irq /v /f Notes: Individual use of lpt1 & lpt2 has been tested. Simultaneous use of lpt1 & lpt2 has not been tested as I don't have 2 printers.
