Run LPT49 from Hobbes??? to create extra LPT ports in OS/2. Install the Win 3.1 driver for the printer, (does one exist?). Tell the driver to print to lpt4.os2, (e.g.) In the OS/2 printer object under ports right click on lpt4 & go to redirection. You can then redirect lpt4 to the C61 printer object. If there is no Win3.1 driver, probably best to setup a Laserjet 12/600 Colour PS printer in WinOS2 & then configure Ghostscript to print to the C61. If this seems too hard, just format HDD & install W2k, fully supported by Epson... Hi All, If anyone here has the LG 4040b DVD burner, you would be advised to update the firmware. On MY system, it effectively increased the burn speed by correcting for the mis interpretation of SOME 4x DVD-R media. There may be other enhancements, but as there is no history file I could find on the site, all I can say is that the drive now performs very well. Performance (burn time) in os2 has been improved also. The update must be made from inside windows. I did mine from a fresh install of winXP without Antivirus or other programs running. Note, some users have had to remove the burner from their machines and temporarily install the drive into an older system. Users with Nforce2 video boards and some Asus motherboards notably ASUS K7M (a slot A).
