No access to secure sites and the security messages everywhere. Has anyone had a similar experience? I was under the impression that SSL was part of the base product. Or is it enabled in the preferences. I'll find out when I get home tonight. I have to go, I've just been informed that they are going to close down the network in my building. Hasta la vista Dennis. It created a new clean profile and whatever was defeating SSL is now gone. There is a new Thunderbird too, but I'll wait a week before installing it. I still can't have firebird and firefox running at the same time, even though I could in ver 0.8. Maybe when I install the new thunderbird that will be resolved. What I had done was tried to run it whilst I had Mozilla running and I think this is what caused the problem for me. When I re-tried it without Mozilla running it installed / configured properly and ran. The few times I have tried it since have not given me any errors. I would like to use it more often but I want to move my mail to thunderbird but have not been successful so far and so I have stayed with Mozilla. Otherwise I don't know what else could be causing the problem. regards Ken Voytek Eymont wrote: >thanks, Ken > >Ken Laurie said: > > >>Try the link on http://www.os2bbs dot com/os2news/ >>or >>http://download.innotek.de/gccos2/runtime/libc-0.5.1.exe >> >> > > >now I'm getting a crash in: > >0[roman][E:\]tail POPUPLOG.OS2 >06-25-2004 19:14:35 SYS2070 PID 004b TID 0001 Slot 0072 >F:\MOZILLA.ORG\FIREFOX\FIREFOX.EXE >IPCDC->XPCOM.4502 >182 >------------------------------------------------------------ > >06-25-2004 19:14:35 SYS2070 PID 004b TID 0001 Slot 0072 >F:\MOZILLA.ORG\FIREFOX\FIREFOX.EXE >IPCDC->XPCOM.4502 >182 > > > > > > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- **= Email 9 ==========================** Date: Fri, 25 Jun 2004 12:27:21 +0200 From: Paul Smedley Subject: Re: Thunderbird 0.7 Kinda related to Dennis's thread :P Anyone else having problems upgrading from Thunderbird 0.6 to 0.7?? When I load it it's wanting to create a new profile rather than use my existing profile. Haven't had time yet to sort this out :( Can't use newsgroups at the moment as I'm in Rome in an Internet cafe - thankfully they have ethernet cords for laptops so I can use thunderbird rather than webmail :P Cheers, Paul.
