Melbourne PC is on the move. Here is the first public notice (and second target date). Our last meeting at Dorcas St looks like being in October and our first meeting so far is scheduled for November. The BIGGEST problem by far is the question of choosing eateries! There isn't much going on Tuesdays in Chaddy at a reasonable price. The >Dorcas St building must be completely cleared by the 2nd week of November. Details of the destination are as follows: New rooms at Chaddy, on the south-east side in a section called "Chadstone Place." It's well marked and best accessed from open air carpark nearest Bi-Lo (yeah, in the weather). Landmarks are a chemist facing the carpark, near the shopping centre entry which has an Autobarn and Australia Post just inside. Main entrance to the lift lobby is between chemist on right and a couple of banks on left (Which Bank? and the Cowboys Bank with a star logo ). Caution, the east exit to Warrigal Road closes at 10pm. so we will probably have to exit onto Dandenong Rd. if we find eateries in Chaddy. Underground carpark facing K-Mart entrances has a ramp up to building level. It's a long way but there is internal access to the lift lobby, so carrying equipment isn't easy but at least protected from the weather. I'm not sure about the underground carpark hours on Tuesdays but I will explore some more soon. More news as it happens!
