How to write image data faster. Use low level direct access rather than a file system write-file approach. Inconsistencies in the way the same file format is implemented from different OS's and versions. Solution. Use your own propriety format which is within the specifications of the file format. Your camera can burst read and write directly to memory locations on the card The card can be read by OS's using their file reading capability. Also When camera firmware is upgraded something is stored on the memory card. Well it is for my Konica Minolts 7D. Formatting the card in a computer would destroy this info. Dennis.
