March 10, 2010, 02:17:07 AM, Rudi said: "Hi folks, I'd appreciate if users of DVB-T USB - devices (AF9015 based or CInergy Tē) could do a test run with this new driver. Especially AF9015.SYS is supposed to switch channels quite a bit faster. The same applies to T2.SYS, however since this device was already doing this pretty quick, the advantage here is marginal. But what's most important is to test, if the channel search still finds all channels that were found with the old driver. In theory these drivers try a bit harder, so that in bad reception scenarios they might even find some more channels than the old ones did... Please report results here." Later response to David said: "AFAIK, you are the first person to use ETV in DVB-T mode in Australia. All the others own analog Hauppauge PVR cards." Haven't been up to Brisbane for several years now due to double vision problem restricting me (by choice) to mainly local driving. :'( Apparently the "KWorld Plus DVB-T 395" has that same AF9015 chipset, so should have the same good results, as that was the model which led Rudi to create the create his AF9015.SYS. Reason for backburner status was that I don't have line-of-sight to TV transmitters in either NSW or Qld, and might investigate avenues to improve signal strength first.
