If you have CUPS installed to support printer(s) these OS/2 versions of the browsers sends data directly to CUPS and direct printing occurs again (this has been missing in FF 3.x and SM 2.0x versions) - if your printer is configured using a native OS/2 driver rather than CUPS, the browsers fall back to creating a PDF file, but you now have the option of choosing where you want to put the file (it doesn't just go to the desktop as with current versions). So those who still want to create PDF files rather than printing direct, by setting up any OS/2 driver driven "dummy" printer you can still do this. Best of both options! The other new feature in Firefox is "panorama" - this controls browser tabs on what appears like a workplace and various web pages able to be grouped together and this all works in the OS/2 versions - in fact when you click on the "=" symbol, there's even a HTML5 video to tell you how to use the new feature (HTML5 plays in the browser without any plugin being needed - in the OS/2 version as well). Stability wise, these versions seem as stable as previous versions. I do get occasional hangs but that's probably more my system than the browser itself. So definitely worth trying these two new browsers out ! -- Cheers/eCS2.0 Ed Please checkout my podcasts at: http://eComStationAustralia.podbean dot com or via iTunes To subscribe - click this: http://eComStationAustralia.podbean dot com/feed -------------------------------------------------- http://www./melbpc/ - The Melbourne OS/2 SIG ===
