I've attached screen shots, but I can't remember if they get chopped or not. Try taking out 4G of ram, go into CMOS, disable HPET. If there is something in CMOS refering to AHCI, turn that off as the earlier drivers with eCS gave me grief. Also check for things called Legacy boot. > [attachments have been removed] Feel free to send them to me direct and I can plonk them into a read only directory for anyone else to look at. (Just to be clear I have not worked at Mensys/Xeu over the last 2 years so I am no longer associated with eCS). What you run into can not be solved with eCS 2.1 with any setting in the preboot menu. As BIOS update will also not fix this! What is happening is that OS/2 always loads the driver screen01.sys to display the boot logo (If I remember correctly). The thing is the driver is always is loaded and is not listed in the config.sys. The driver makes a call to the OEMHLP service of OS/2 and the OS/2 OEMHLP in call makes a BIOS call. The way OS/2 makes this call is no longer supported by the BIOS. Loading ACPI from eCS 2.1 and the hang you are seeing, you can not get past this as well. The easiest way to get around this is to install eCS on a different system to the hard driver without ACPI and get an Arca Noae subscription and download ACPI. Then you put the hard disc back into your system. You will need to correct the USB host controller settings and the NIC setting. eCS 2.2 beta II does fix this issue as well I do not know if that is for sale for Xeu. Or you could stay tuned for ArcaOS from Arca Noae (AKA Blue Lion) Regards Roderick Klein ----------------------------------------------- To Subscribe/Unsubscribe go to =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= This is a pulp free product.
