I'm sorting out shoe boxes with old hard drives... I have a zip archive of an old Warp 4 'terminal server', that should be a complete working / bootable archive booted an OS/2 hard drive with 'blank' hard drive on secondary controller I've formatted a hard drive HPFS, unzipped the old hd archive to it, but, it won't boot, stops past BIOS screen with no errors having a senior moment.. what else do I need to make to a HPFS hard drive to make it bootable...? pmformat.exe GUI utility has option, but, it wouldn't stick.. ? -- Voytek ----------------------------------------------- To Subscribe/Unsubscribe go to =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= This is a pulp free product. **= Email 2 ==========================** Date: Tue, 16 Oct 2018 12:29:32 +0800 (AWST) From: Subject: Re: making OS/2 HD bootable ? I think back then something like 'fdisk /something' was involved but fdisk on this computer was long ago replaced with LVM. I did find SYSINSTX.COM here on the server, memory, then google confirmed, try "sysinstx C:" or whatever your boot drive letter is. Also, how big is your HD & partition? partition limits on a HD size limit back then. You might have to updated some system files or replace with Dani's drivers. Depending on the computer you are attempting to boot it from, might have to be on a primary IDE controller.
