The files that I have uploaded are my config.sys and mmos2\mmpm2.ini - these are the files that the installation procedures for VIA and TiMidity modify. I first installed the VIA drivers. For installing the VIA drivers (www.os2site.com/sw/drivers/sound/via/via923.zip), I used the instructions in the readme contained in the zip file, replacing references to A: drive by my download directory. I then checked that WAV files played correctly. Then came the MIDI drivers. For the MIDI installation, I used the excellent document from http://home1.gte.net/stefanj/sbliver4.htm I followed this carefully, ignoring references to SoundBlaster as my VIA sound was OK. I have not installed the Win-OS2 components. After each installation attempt, it is worth reading the MINSTALL.LOG file - it can give a good idea of what is happening (and for me, what went wrong again this time). The MIDI installation was a bit painful. I tried quite a few different things that I could not now repeat, and it eventually worked. I remember using a text editor several times to edit MMPM2.INI according to the output of MMCheck. Be careful of the OS2 system editor - it seemed to add hidden characters that MMCheck could not recognise as valid - in the end, I used Describe. I hope that this may help you. If you need more, please ask.
