Image New technical BootCamp triples technical sessions at Lotusphere 2006.
"Each year, the number one piece of feedback we receive from Lotusphere attendees is a request for more technical content," says Kristin Keene, who has led Lotusphere content development for nearly ten years. The new Lotusphere BootCamp will triple the technical content by providing a parallel, purely technical program within the regular conference.

Attendees can participate in the BootCamp and nothing but the BootCamp or mix and match with other Lotusphere sessions. Every BootCamp session will be led by product managers or developers, or by a subject expert sought by the Lotusphere content team specifically for his or her expertise. Microalgae harvester Cyanotech reaps reduction in Sarbanes-Oxley costs with IBM Worklpace solution.
"With IBM Workplace for Business Controls and Reporting, our Sarbanes-Oxley compliance efforts are going to cost us about two to three percent of our annual revenue," calculated Jeff Sakamoto, Chief Financial Officer at Cyanotech. "Conservatively, that is a 50 percent reduction in our initial estimates of cost of compliance."

Cyanotech is a successful harvester of high-value natural products derived from microalgae in Hawaii. It's not a big company. Fewer than a 100 employees and less than $US25 million in annual revenue. "As a small company, we try to focus on the adoption of appropriate technologies that help us solve real business problems," said Sakamoto. Read this case study and see how IBM Workplace for Business Controls and Reporting is helping Cyanotech reduce the cost and effort of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance as well as other regulatory demands. The role-based Workplace solution enables Cyanotech to accumulate, coordinate and view all of the internal controls and their impact on financial information in a single place.
