Replay: Empowering SOA: Providing Information as a Service to the Business
While the concept of SOA has been around for a while, most companies think of SOA as addressing process-centric issues, and probably have not considered it for information integration. And information availability is a top priority for companies today: in the 2006 IBM Global CEO Survey, over 60% of CEOs believe their organizations need to do a better job of leveraging information. By de-coupling information from the silos in which it is buried and treating it as a service to the business, companies can make it more available, consistent and trustworthy.

Watch this on demand webcast to learn how organizations have typically leveraged SOA to deal with the need for greater visibility, agility, efficiency and governance of their business. Hear market trends for treating information as a service and how treating information as a service can further drive a successful ROI of any SOA implementation. The benefits of creating service-oriented legacy data, data warehouses, data quality, and shared information services across trading partners, LOBs, and agencies. Watch the replay:

IBM Information Management: Information as a Service Demo
Learn how information complexity can be minimized and reduced when information is treated like an always-available service. This demo will show you how a company can transition from a complex information landscape into an environment that will make information more accessible, consistent, and flexible and ensure that the right information is available to the right people & processes at the right time. This demonstration focuses on a fictional company, Globalco, who is dealing with common information complexity issues because systems have grown over time through acquisitions, tactical "quick fix" projects, and new system implementations where the old systems were never actually retired. With Information as a Service, quality and consistency of the information is improved across all systems. Let IBM show you how Information as a Service can increase profitability due to reduced inventory and supply chain costs, and improve revenues from improved marketing effectiveness.
