Launch   IBM Rational and Jazz transform how software delivery teams will work in the future

At the IBM Rational® Software Development Conference (RSDC) 2008, IBM unveiled 20 new products - all scheduled for release by the end of 2008 - that break down the barriers preventing software development and delivery teams from truly collaborating with partners, suppliers, customers and each other. Every new product is infused with the collaborative capabilities of Jazz, the IBM technology platform that helps far-flung development teams work together more openly and transparently.

New IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC) - the first product developed on the Jazz technology platform - gives your software, business and outsourced teams the real-time, contextual collaboration and visibility they need to improve productivity, agility and project success rates.

RTC incorporates social networking tools, such as instant messaging and presence awareness, to help streamline global collaboration on software delivery projects; it can reduce documentation, meetings and status reports by as much as 50%. With RTC your teams can access project health in real time, automate best practices, think and work in unison - and truly innovate through collaboration.

ALM   Help bring flexibility and choice to development through Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration

Too many software development tools rely on private vocabularies, formats, and data repositories - each of which acts as a barrier to sharing resources and collaborating across the development lifecycle. To help break down these barriers and simplify collaboration, IBM announces Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration - a proposed industry-wide initiative that invites business partners, developers, ISVs and customers to collaborate on a common, open standards-based architecture for integrating software development processes. Here's your chance to contribute to open architecture that can give you the freedom to assemble your own ideal software development platform, using the tools you prefer.
