SIG member David Moskowitz will conduct a presentation of several new and forthcoming technologies, and the impact therefrom upon our lives. - IMPACT OF TECHNOLOGY: Everything (or almost everything) we should all know about the impact of new and forthcoming technology on our lives: in regard to computing as well as other related issues. - KEY ISSUES: What are the new technologies? What must we pay special attention to? How will they affect us all and all platforms? - TIME FRAMES: What's coming in both the near term and the long term. - SOME EXAMPLES: Persistent internet connections; Technology convergence; Instant messaging; Plasma displays; Memory; Mass storage Other agenda items include SIG business matters, OS/2 news, new software releases, Q&A session & raffles. An OS/2 system will be on hand for demos of OS/2, Java, Internet, etc. as time permits. Free light refreshments will be available.
