Tustin Ave. Game Emulation on OS/2 Jerry Rash, SCOUG's very own multi-media expert, will demonstrate how he does game emulation on OS/2. You need three (3) things: the emulation program, the game cartridge files that you'll be playing, and the OS/2 joystick driver, which are all free and available on the Internet. Should be fun! After the main meeting presentation, we'll have Q&A, a raffle, and then the Saturday SIG meetings: Internet SIG and Sundial SIG: TBA Programming SIG: Terry Warren will continue where he left off in February. He'll cover the basics of TCP/IP, including addressing, routing, and OS/2 tracing and packet formatting capabilities. Protocols that will be discussed include ICMP (RFC 792 et al), ARP (RFC 826), DHCP (RFC 1541), IP (RFC 791), UDP (RFC 768) and PPP (RFC 1661). Help Desk chats are on Wednesday evenings at 7 PM PST. Volunteers at the OS/2 Help Desk will help you solve them. Bring your system and all related hardware and software, along with a detailed explanation of your problem. Networking SIG: Will be providing help to members setting up a peer network and connecting their local LAN to the Internet via a cable modem connection, DSL connection, or a dial-up connection via an ISP. How to get to Regal Lanes: Regal Lanes is located on the east side of N. Tustin Ave., 2 blocks north of Katella Ave. in the city of Orange, CA. It's at the corner of Tustin and Van Owen. From the 55 freeway, exit Katella Ave. heading west. Turn right (north) at the signal onto Tustin Ave. At the next signal, which is the corner of Tustin and Van Owen, you will see Regal Lanes on your right-hand side. It's across the street from the Toyota of Orange auto dealership. There's lots of parking on the south side of the building. Enter from the east entrance of the building (farthest from Tustin Ave.), not the main (front) entrance to the facility. Take the stairs to the 2nd floor; the meeting rooms (and restrooms) will be on your left-hand side. Handicapped access is via an elevator by the front door. Center Street, Orange, CA. You can park in any of the University lots for free on Sundays, but if you part on the street, watch the signs carefully or else risk getting a parking ticket.
