Didn't see this mentioned in the list so here goes:

IBM updated the IDEDASD package once again.
According to the README file the date is Febr 15, 2001
but the IBM1S506.ADD driver dates March 14, 2001

It can be found on the OS/2 Driver Depository under

OS/2 component updates > Installation diskette updates >
Greater than 8.4 gig hardfile support
