README.OS2: PHP4 OS/2 Port - v4.0.5 ======================= This archive contains a port of PHP4 as an OS/2 DLL which is loadable into the Apache web server. To use this module you will need to be using a version of Apache for OS/2 that includes loadable module support. This is included in v1.3.9 and above. This port is not been heavily tested so please use with caution & report any incorrect behaviour you encounter. The differences in the source used to build this binary on OS/2 are included in the directory patch. To get PHP4 support, copy libphp4.dll to the libexec directory under the Apache server root and add LoadModule php4_module libexec/libphp4.dll to your httpd.conf. If you haven't used PHP4 before you will also need to add AddType application/x-httpd-php .php to the appropriate Apache config file (httpd.conf or srm.conf depending on whether you are using one config file or three). If you wish to use a php.ini file to configure PHP settings you need to place it in the directory pointed to by your ETC environment variable, usually \MPTM\ETC of your boot drive. This build of PHP4 contains the optional modules: - GDBM v1.7.3 - MySQL client v3.23.32 - PostgreSQL client v7.0.2 - ZLib v1.1.3 - GD v1.2 - FreeType v1.2 - t1lib v0.9.2 - pdflib 3.0.2 And has the following optional features enabled: - FTP - XML Comments and bug reports are welcome.
