There is a new version of XSane for OS/2 available.

XSane is a powerful frontend to access scanners which are supported by an
OS/2-Version of SANE(Scanner Access Now Easy). It requires an XServer (for
example XFree86 for OS/2 or HOBX11) and a working libsane.dll.

  - preview scan, preview zoom
  - scan and save to pnm, jpeg, png, tiff, ps and raw file
  - handling of all backend options
  - helpfiles
  - copy mode (printing via ghostscript, see section "copy mode")
  - ocr output to a textfile using gocr.exe

XSane is BETA.  This version works here with my EPSON GT-9500 Scanner on
OS/2 WARP4 Fixpack 15 with SANE 1.06.  Please give me (Franz Bakan"

setup.

Es gibt eine neue Version von XSane fuer OS/2.
XSane ist ein maechtiges grafisches Frontend fuer SANE (Scanner Access Now
Easy), das
           eine funktionierende libsane.dll (z.B. aus SANE-1.06) und einen
XServer (z.B. XFree86/OS2 oder HOBX11) voraussetzt.

Highlights:
- Ausgabeformate: jpeg, tiff, Postscript, pnm, raw, png

- Copy per Mausklick (mit Hilfe von Ghostscript)

- PNG direkt als email verschicken

- OCR per mausklick mithilfe von gocr

XSane ist BETA. D.h. es laeuft bei mir (SANE 1.06, EPSON GT-9500), ist
aber NICHT weiter woanders getestet. Rueckmeldungen erwuenscht!
