Date: Tue, 02 Apr 2002 20:09:31 -0500 From: madodelatptdprolog.net Subject: [VOICENWS] Update for Windows Terminal Server client available From: Jacco de Leeuw posted on comp.os.os2.networking.misc I have uploaded a new version of rdesktop to Hobbes. This is a free (Open Source) RDP client ported from Unix to OS/2, which you can use to connect to a Windows NT/2000/XP Terminal Server. EMX and XFree86 are required. New in this second release: - The OS/2 port is now free for commercial and non-commercial use. Previously, an old math library was used which excluded commercial use. Instead, rdesktop now uses a local copy of OpenSSL (BSD style license). - Upraded to the latest version, 1.1.0pl19-8-5, adding new options. For instance, with --built-in-license, rdesktop can now emulate a Windows 2000 Professional TS CAL license. The zipfile is currently in incoming but should move soon to /pub/os2/system/x11/term (for lack of a better place). http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/cgi-bin/h-search?key=rdesk The latest version can also be found on my own webpage, at: http://www.jacco2.dds.nl/rdesktop/ Jacco (To mail me: please be advised that I'm not in the military, but in The Netherlands). -- Jacco de Leeuw mailto:jacco2atdds.mil van Wessemstr. 54 http://www.jacco2.dds.nl 1501 VM Zaandam, Holland tel:+31(0)756352068 Sign in lab: "Do not look into laser with remaining eye". -- To unsubscribe yourself from this list, send the following message to majormajoratos2voice.org unsubscribe news end If you have an announcement you would like posted to the VOICE News list, please send it to submitatos2voice.org.
