For those interested in a high-powered image-processing system that runs
under OS/2, the National Institute of Health's Image-J JAVA software runs
very well under OS/2.  The software can be found at;

There is an enormouse number of advanced plugins at;

I've only tried a couple which I needed for a DICOM image application
problem but the rest may work just as well. You will need to unpack the
EXE file and run the ij.jar file.  The 'run java' app mentioned earlier is
a great starter;
