New updates of the UPS Monitor series of programs are now available.

UPS Monitor is a utility program to monitor and log power line and battery
status for a large number of Uninterruptible Power Sources (UPS). It's
main function is to shut down OS/2 or eComStation safely by time or low
battery signal during prolonged power outages.

UPS Monitor is available as three individual optimized programs:

  - UPS Monitor for smart signaling interface
    UPSes supports most APC brand models like
    Smart-UPS and Back-UPS Pro. A rare but
    potential serious bug has been identified
    and fixed. We suggest that all users of
    UPS Monitor for smart APC models upgrade
    as soon as possible. Upgrade is free for
    registered users.

  - UPS Monitor B supports the simple signaling
    APC UPSes, namely the Back-UPS and Back-UPS ES
    series.

  - UPS Monitor C supports generic contact closure
    UPSes including Tripplite/IBM, CyberPower,
    PK Electronics BlackOut Buster and new, the
    APC Back-UPS 350/500CS with serial cable
    940-0128A. The APC Back-UPS 350/500CS contains
    a combination USB and simple signaling
    interface. UPS Monitor C includes support for
    simple signaling if the mentioned serial
    cable is used.
