The goal of the WarpVision project is to create an OS/2 multimedia player
that supports the latest formats, as well as the latest hardware features.


Status: The WarpVision Player is currently undergoing development, but in
the interim you can download the beta versions. All of the work on this
project is done in spare time and is distributed under GNU licencing
guidelines. If you know of some new features that you'd like to see
implemented, or even if you'd just like to do something nice for the
authors, you can always make a financial contribution! To find out how you

Current Features

* Playback of media in many different formats (DivX-3, DivX-4, DivX-5,
XViD, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, AVI, ASF [not yet complete]) * Support for various
audio CODECs (AC3, PCM, MP3 [through video stream only]) *
Hardware-accelerated playback of supported formats through use of the HW
EnDIVE driver (YUV422 colour scheme) * Autodetection of colour scheme
* Fullscreen and windowed playback
* Toggle for maintaining aspect ratio in windowed mode
* Skin support for the user interface
* Playlist support (currently under construction)
* Brightness control
* Resampling of audio to 44100 Hz or 48000 Hz, for support of various
audio chipsets * Optimized for enhanced instruction sets (MMX, MMX2, SSE
and 3D-Now!) * Ability to rewind and fast-forward through use of GUI
slider or hotkeys * Ability to easily change program priority
