Fox" I've been a McAfee user for the last 3 years or more. This news (about the 4.1.60 engine) is not really new, since the 4160 engine for OS/2 was first released 12/01. I've been using it since then. So far as I'm aware, it was never really announced though, so you had to stumble across the right section of their website to know this. But, I read through their "End of Product Life" statement quite some time ago, and it does contain some news. According to that, the 4180 engine will be the last one for OS/2. If they follow past practice, I would expect to see it around 12/02. When it comes out, all interested parties should grab it. NAI product updates for other platforms require a recent purchase of the prior version, or a support contract (subscription). The fact that the OS/2 engine updates -- from v. 4130 on -- have apparently been exceptions to this and were there for the taking, must indicate that NAI has essentially written off their OS/2 product.
