All versions are now built using the same (WATCOM) compiler,
and the executables use a more uniform naming now:

DFSDOS.EXE = 32-bit DOS-extended version, runs in less than 200 Kb
DFSOS2.EXE = 32-bit OS/2 version    (requires OS/2 version 3 or newer)
DFSWIN.EXE = 32-bit Windows version (requires Windows-NT, 2000 or XP)

Most important functional changes:

- FAT2OS   FIXBOOT fixed OEM-name for OS/2 bootsector on FAT
- EDIT     Activate with F2 and Alt-E/A/U/H for prompted edit - EDIT    
automatic write back (prompted) unless -w- option - WRITE    new
confirmation and new -at:sn option/prompt - NTFS     Support
partition/file sizes upto 2048 Gb - DFSee    Added functions for HUGE size
display (> 4Gb)
- NTFS     Accept partial corrupted MFT records
- SIM/WRIM -First and -size options instead of arguments
- WIPE     -First, -size and -Prompt options
- FILEFIND Find dir-entry for file(s) on FAT filesystem
- SUBFIND  Find subdirectories sectors (. and ..) on FAT

Check DFS*.TXT files for details

Registering DFSee will give you the right to use all 5.xx versions and get
support plus a reasonable amount of assistance by email. Existing 4.xx
registrations can be upgraded to 5.xx as well.

But even more important, it enables further development of DFSee!
