If you have a scanner working with Sane (Scanner access now easy), please send me the output of 'scanimage -d device -h >device.txt' (device has to be replaced by the used sane backend e.g. epson) I need additionally the exact scanner model and the used sane version. Please send your data to staedtler-przyborski at web.de not this list. With this informations I can add your scanner to the Tame database, so every user of the same scanner profits from your informations. Tame 0.96 is a PM-Frontend for Sane. It is integrated into MMOS/2 (uses mmiocodecs, Lighttable), has preview and many other possibilities. Apple would call it due to it's look iScan (it is skinnable, so you can change it to your preferred style if you don't like the default theme). Tame 0.96 will be a _complete_ scanning package (yes it will contain sane 1.0.10 so installation should be quite easy), and as soon the remaining bugs in the Sane USB version have been ironed out there will be a TameUSB version containing a Sane USB version too. Tame is free, a previous version (0.94, very outdated don't send bug-reports anymore) can be found here (when it comes back to live): http://www.os2world.com/goran/ Some responses from Tame 0.96 beta testers (unfortunately I can't post a very, very impressive screenshot showing Tame 0.96beta using a USB-scanner with a scanned image in the preview window) [moderator note: I have seen it and it is cool to see TAME/2 with scan output from what I'm told was an Epson USB scanner.]: > Overall I am quite impressed so far. > I appreciate Tame/2 application. > First of all: I'm very impressed Thanks Klaus Staedtler ---END FORWARDED MESSAGE--- -- From the eComStation of Mark Dodel http://www.os2voice.org -- To unsubscribe yourself from this list, send the following message to majormajor at os2voice.org unsubscribe news end If you have an announcement you would like posted to the VOICE News list, please send it to submit at os2voice.org.
