Date: Sat, 20 Dec 2003 11:49:00 -0500 From: "Mark Dodel" Subject: [VOICENWS] Events: Call for Warpstock 2004 bids From: "Mark Dodel" It has been about 4 months since we last sent out a notice looking to see if there is any interest from any group to make a bid for hosting Warpstock 2004. To date we have had a few questions about the hosting process, but no one has actually stated an interest in submitting a bid. The deadline for submitting an interest in making a bid is December 31, 2003. Actual completed bids are due by February 28, 2004. So if you are thinking about doing so, now is the time to let us know. Warpstock 2003 was a success, so we feel there is still sufficient interest to keep the event going, but we can't do that without the help of a dedicated local group of OS/2-eComStation users. Every year some people complain that the location is too far or too expensive for them to attend. Or people think we are doing the entire event wrong and should do it more inexpensively (youth hostels/University setting?) or more professionally, or just different. Here is your chance to determine the location, the structure and the cost. So if you are interested in making a bid please send a letter outlining your ideas to madodelDESPAM at ptdprolog.net (Remove the DESPAM before sending). See the Bid Proposal page for more information.
