Date: Thu, 15 Jul 2004 10:15:07 -0300 From: "Mark Dodel" Subject: [VOICENWS] Event: SCOUG meeting July 17: Emperoar TV and more From: Gary Wong The next meeting of the Southern California OS/2 User Group (SCOUG) will be this Saturday, July 17, at 10:00 AM PDT, at the Fountain Valley Library, Community Room, 17635 Los Alamos, Fountain Valley, CA 92708. Multimedia Continues We ran out of time in June, so Jerry Rash (Mr. Media to SCOUGites) will come in July to demo EmperoarTV (http://www.s-t.de/emperoar/), which allows you to play TV and radio on your PC. Jerry has some other things up his sleeve as well. It will be a rousing multimedia meeting! Take Note: Two things are different this month. First, we are meeting at the Fountain Valley Library in July & August due to space constraints at Eastside Christian School in Fullerton (we plan to return to the school in September). Second, the meeting starts at 10 AM instead of 9:30. Help Desk chats are on Wednesday evenings at 7 PM PDT. If you've got a problem with hardware or software, join the chat and ask for help. Info is at http://www.scoug.com/chat/index.html. OS/2 Live Help Desk, August 8, 2004, 2 PM PDT, Chapman University in Orange: At the live OS/2 Help Desk, volunteers will give you hands-on assistance solving your hardware and software problems. It is usually held the first Sunday of the month in cooperation with the OS/2 SIG of the North Orange County Computer Club. However, in July and August, it will be the second Sunday of the month. Come to Hashinger Hall Science Building, room 203. It's on the second floor, and there's an elevator to bring up your equipment. Bring your system and all related hardware and software, along with a detailed explanation of your problem. Directions to SCOUG meetings and events: For the Fountain Valley Library, there is a local map at http://www.ocpl.org/25map.asp. From the San Diego (I-405) freeway, exit at Brookhurst going north. Turn right (going east) on Slater, and then another right (going south) on Los Alamos. The library and parking will be on your right-hand side. For the Help Desk and other meetings at Chapman University, go to http://www.scoug.com/directions.html. There you will find various links to maps/directions for Chapman University. Please join us!
