SEPTEMBER MEETING AGENDA ------------------------ A most interesting agenda is being prepared for the September and October meetings: ** File sharing between OS/2 & Linux ** One system running RedHat Enterprise Linux 3.0 Workstation (RedHat 9.1); the other OS/2 4.52 (with TCP/IP 4.3). In these hands-on sessions, we'll explore file sharing between networked OS/2 and Linux PCs. Part 1, on the first of the 2-month series, will deal with the setup of a Network File System (NFS) server and client on OS/2 and Linux. Part 2, the following month, will deal with NETBIOS (Server Message Block, aka Samba) based file sharing. All the necessary protocols and user access configurations on each OS will be covered. Interested users are encouraged to attend both of these two meetings of high current interest. Other September agenda items include announcements, news & new software releases, Q&A session, and possible 50/50 raffle. Pizza will be ordered if there is sufficient interest.
