This is a set of tools to handle problems deriving from false extended attributes attached to files and/or directories. Unlike other tools that remove all extended attributes, these tools can remove selected extended attributes (.ICON, .ICONPOS, .LONGNAME, .SHORTNAME) without touching others in a simple and conveniant way. In addition there is a program that compares the real filename/directory name against the attached .LONGNAME and offers possibilities to resolve this in case this is an error (it is definitely not always an error, but it definitely is sometimes an error!) Please, make sure you read the enclosed documentation before using any program from this toolbox. I have been using this stuff for approximately a year now and it turned out to be very useful, so I decided to make it publicly available. Nevertheless, handle with care.
