Subject:  [VOICENWS] SW: OpenTTD 0.3.5 for OS/2 preview release

OpenTTD, an open source clone of the popular DOS/Windows-based game
"Transport Tycoon Deluxe" by Chris Sawyer, has been ported to OS/2 and an
experimental release of version 0.3.5 has been made. We would be very
interested in hearing about the experiences of any OS/2 users who try this
game, as there are a few bugs still in the OS/2 version (which uses SDL),
mainly concerning keyboard input and network support. If any interested
gamers or particularly programmers could help out, please get in touch.

OpenTTD can be downloaded from http://sf.net/projects/openttd/ and more
information on the game can be found at www.openttd.com. Note that the
original game data files are currently required: for information on how to
obtain these, see http://www.tt-forums.net .

OpenTTD has been ported to work on OS/2 4.x or later (including
eComStation). At the moment, it does not work properly, but it can compile
and work to an extent.

Libraries Required
------------------

SDL.DLL (SDL 1.2.7) and FSLib.dll are required: these can be downloaded
from the Files section at http://sourceforge.net/projects/openttd/ - see
"os2-useful.zip".

Note that to use the compiled program, I have found that a version of the
Scitech Display Drivers or its later incarnation (see www.scitech.com) are
necessary for it to work.

Known Issues
------------

 - Keyboard input doesn't work
 - Multiplayer doesn't work correctly
 - Minor file selector issues with drives"]
