Date: Mon, 10 Oct 2005 10:05:51 -0300 From: madodel at ptdprolog.net Subject: [VOICENWS] SW: ScummVM ported to OS/2 ++ From the VOICE OS/2-eComStation News Service http://www.os2voice.org ++ From: Paul Smedley Scumm VM v0.71 for OS/2 release 1 available from http://smedley.info/scummvm-0.7.1-os2r1.zip Note that my site will be unavailable from around midday Sunday Central Australian time (GMT+9.5) until around 5pm Monday as I'll be away and will be shutting the server down. ScummVM is a program which allows you to run certain classic graphical point-and-click adventure games, provided you already have their data files. The clever part about this: ScummVM just replaces the executables shipped with the game, allowing you to play them on systems for which they were never designed! Built with Innotek GCC v3.3.5r1 and hence requires libc06r1.dll to be available. Built to work with the following engines: Engines: SCUMM Simon the Sorcerer Beneath a Steel Sky Broken Sword I (w/ mpeg2 cutscenes) Broken Sword II (w/ mpeg2 cutscenes) Flight of the Amazon Queen Legend of Kyrandia Tested with the free games available from http://www.scummvm.org/downloads.php (Beneath a Steel Sky & Flight of the Amazon Queen) as well as Day of the Tentacle & Secret of Monkey Island. Note that the OS/2 version of SDL requires Snap Graphics to be installed. If you want to encourage my efforts, please consider making a donation via the link at http://smedley.info/os2ports.html or sponsor Netlabs or any of the other organisations that are still supporting OS/2 & eComStation.
