We are going to start 2006 off with a bit of this and a bit of that. Last month Allen Hecht described how he developed his web applications on eCS/OS2 using Apache, PHP and MySQL. This month we are going to see the applications in action. Also this month, at the request of the membership, we are going to have the first General Meeting Live Help Desk of 2006. Bring your troubled eCS/OS2 systems and SCOUG's resident experts will do their best to make them right. If you are going to bring a system, please let Steven Levine know so that we can be sure to have sufficient experts available. There's more! Sheridan George decided he was tired of running eCS/OS2 on computers with plain old, everyday disk drives, so he built one with only a solid state disk. As of today, this is still an experiment in progress, but he's going to show us what he's got at the meeting. If necessary, the General Meeting Live Help Desk will have another patient. Finally, along with all this fun, we are going to make time to have a raffle. Larry Tawa has been collecting goodies and just can't wait any longer to raffle them off. As a teaser, we have a Coming Attraction. Jerry Rash always seems to have absolutely no trouble finding interesting pieces of hardware to play with. This time it's USB cameras. He'll soon be showing us the results of some of his recent lab experiments. But don't wait for Jerry. Come to our January meeting! As usual, the meeting will be from 9:30 AM to 1 PM at: Room 326 of the Eastside Christian School at the Grace Ministries Complex 1645 W Valencia Dr. in Fullerton See: http://www.scoug.com/meetings.html for links to a map and directions.
