Miscellaneous news: eCo Software strategy * The strategy of eCo Software states that we should create more WPS applications to attract new users and students. To stimulate the process, we are starting publication of tutorial "Object-Oriented Programming in eComStation, Part 1: Introduction" (http://ru.ecomstation.ru/showarticle.php?id=144, russian text) Participation in Developers Workshop 2006 ( http://en.ecomstation.ru/conferences.php ) -- eCo Software developers prepared and presented three reports: * Library for easy multilanguage support (we compared existing meanings and suggested methods how to improve things) * How to join eComStation development (You can join ACPI and Power management projects, we need better support of USB devices, pay attention to FM-tuners if going to create multimedia software, let's create syncronization modules of mobile devices with the database of Personal Cards Manager) * Using eComStation infrastructure for development of new applications (We must create more WPS applications; We must use MMOS2 I/O procedures to shorten the life cycle of multimedia software development) * WiZard constructed logo for Developers Workshop 2006 ( http://ecomstation.ru/pic/articles/dw2006/workshop_2006_new_001b.png ) * Presentations are published at netlabs.org ftp ( ftp://ftp.netlabs.org/pub/events/DWS2006/presentations ) Financial 2005 year is completed * the previous financial year is finished.
