Date: Tue, 27 Jun 2006 21:13:00 -0400 From: madodel Subject: [VOICENWS] SW: GBM plugin for Lucide 1.1 (beta) available ++ From the VOICE OS/2-eCS News Service http://www.os2voice.org ++ From: HeikoDOTNitzscheDESPAM at DESPAMgmx.de I have created a plugin for Lucide 1.1 (beta) that provides support for reading a lot of bitmap file formats. [Moderator Note: Lucide is available on the eCS Betazone for eCS users with access] It is based on GBM (Generalised Bitmap Module GBM.DLL, see earlier announcements) and thus supports all formats supported by this library. For details and download please have a look at my GBM homepage: http://heikon.home.tlink.de For those of you interested in the source code, it's included in the download package. You need additionally the ludoc directory from the Lucide example plugins package. Point makefile.wat to it and also to the directory where the GBM libs (for OpenWatcom) and headers are located. Attention: The plugin is still in beta state (1.0beta). As also Lucide is still beta, I cannot guarantee that everything works always as designed. If you find specific issues that can be nailed down to the GBM plugin, drop me a note. Known issues: You have to either remove or rename the plugin DLL lujpeg.dll shipped with Lucide (e.g. rename it to lujpeg.dll_). So far Lucide seems not be able to handle multiple plugins providing the same document format. If both plugins are enabled and you open a JPEG bitmap, Lucide always crashes here.
