Web site: http://fat32.netlabs.org "This project is based on the original FAT32 sourcecode by Henk Kelder. He released the source to netlabs.org in January 2002 because he no longer had the time to continue work on it. The present release comes in both WPI and ZIP formats. If you want the original package done by Henk, look for it at Hobbes, for example. The present code is compiled by KO Myung-Hun. The changes for this version are listed in this file "Version 0.9.12: Fixed the problem that CACHEF32 is crashed after calling CHKDSK for dirty volume. Fixed the problem the regonition of USB removable media takes very long time when inserting it since 0.9.11. This is because FAT32 always calculates free space on mount. Now, FAT32 calculates free space only if /CALCFREE specified or free space info was not stored on disk. Fixed the trap when removing USB removable media without eject. Improved Read/Write performance. By Lars. *** Known Problems *** When using USB removable media with other OS such as Windows, free space can be incorrect. At this time, you should use 'chkdsk' to correct it or '/CALCFREE' to avoid it." -- For a choice in the future of personal computing, Join VOICE - http://www.os2voice.org [Moderator's note: All posts are sent without guarantee to the accuracy of the content.
