This is to announce that Alpine 2.00 is now available for OS/2 and eComStation, along with the corresponding versions of the University of Washington's POP3 and IMAP servers. The web interface ("Web Alpine") but it does not yet work under OS/2 and I don't distribute the binaries for it. The general announcement from the University of Washington is appended to this article. Note that the version that I distribute has been compiled without S/MIME support, however. You can find further information and source code at: http://www.zeta.org.au/~nps/software/alpine/en/index.html I'll be taking a break from Alpine for the next six months or so due to work commitments. I'll read and respond to e-mail but I won't be doing any coding, bug-fixing or distribution. I hope to return to Alpine some time in 2009.
