Date: Sat, 14 Mar 2009 08:33:32 -0400 From: madodel Subject: [VOICENWS] SW: CUPS port updated ++ From the VOICE OS/2-eCS News Service http://www.os2voice.org ++ From: Paul Smedley Hi All, I've uploaded an updated zip of CUPS (Common Unix Printer System) v1.3.9 to http://svn.netlabs.org/ecups Most of the files are the same as the December 2008 release, however there are two key updates: 1) the inclusion of a backend for usb printers, which makes the CUPS port much easier to use for those people who have a locally attached USB printer 2) an updated shell which resolves most of the reported problems running pstoraster The included readme.os2 has a brief run through on how to test, more detailed instructions are in the eCUPS HowTo document at http://svn.netlabs.org/ecups/wiki/HowTo - please note that this HowTo has not (yet) been updated to reflect the inclusion of the USB backend.
