Recent history of my 2.6.x builds: 2009-04-12 build: * Updated to 2.6.2c1 source * Updated to GCC 4.3.3 2009-04-13 build: * Fixed problem with unicodedata module that prevented firefox building * Fixed problem with use of popen() within python scripts 2009-04-14 build * Implemented OS/2 version of urandom - fixes the multiprocessing module 2009-04-18 build * Updated source to 2.6.2 GA release code * Fixed problem with popen() * Fixed problem with pipe() I've also added a Mercurial 1.0.2 port based almost entirely on Andrew McIntyre's port (with a few fixes for libc quirks). Finally, a zip of additional files required, and my source patches has been added to my webpage. All of the above can be found in the usual place, ie http://os2ports.smedley.info Enjoy! Cheers, Paul. -------- Original Message -------- Subject: RELEASED Python 2.6.2 Date: Wed, 15 Apr 2009 11:45:08 -0400 From: Barry Warsaw On behalf of the Python community, I'm happy to announce the availability of Python 2.6.2.
