This is not, strictly speaking, a new version. It is a fresh build of the program (with minor updates to the manual) that was made because the original version somehow became lost from my web site. This calculator is designed for people who prefer to have mouse-free operation of a calculator. (Although some mouse operations are supported, including drag-and-drop of expressions and numbers from other screen windows - e.g. a text editor window - if you have DragText installed.) It supports the usual trigonometric, etc., functions. You can switch between degrees and radians - even in the middle of a calculation - and also between number bases: binary, octal, decimal, hexadecimal. Atypically, complex arithmetic is _directly_ supported. (As an electrical engineer, I really need this.) When the calculator is in "complex" mode, numbers are entered and displayed as pairs of real numbers, in either polar or rectangular form as desired. Most importantly, you have the choice between "algebraic" and "reverse Polish" operation. Batteries not included (or needed). http://www.pmoylan.org -- For a choice in the future of personal computing, Join VOICE - http://www.os2voice.org [Moderator's note: All posts are sent without guarantee to the accuracy of the content.
