Date: Wed, 04 Aug 2010 06:23:20 +0200 From: VOICE News Service Subject: [VOICENWS] SW: [New] Exceptq v7.0 ++ From the VOICE OS/2-eCS News Service http://www.os2voice.org ++ From: richDESPAM at DESPAMe-vertise.com I'm pleased to announce the release of Exceptq v7.0. With just 5 lines of code, developers can add Exceptq's comprehensive trap reporting facility to their apps. If the app encounters a fatal exception, Exceptq will generate a report containing: the call stack, disassembly of the faulting instructions, a stack dump, a listing of dlls loaded into the process, and more. Reports are typically 10-30kb - small enough that they can easily be emailed, even on dialup. Exceptq v7.0 has been extensively rewritten and is 20-30 times faster than previous versions. It can now handle .sym files of any size, as well as embedded debug data in IBM HLL or Codeview format. Exceptq's report has been restructured to provide more information in a concise and attractive format. v7.0 also offers several new options, including one to increase (or decrease) the amount of raw data included in the report. The developer's edition containing how-to information and needed files is available from: http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/h-search.php?button=Search&key=exceptq70-dev.zip or http://e-vertise.com/misc/exceptq70-dev.zip A user's edition with just dlls and installation info can be had from: http://hobbes.nmsu.edu/h-search.php?button=Search&key=exceptq70.zip or http://e-vertise.com/misc/exceptq70.zip If you have an app that uses an earlier version of Exceptq (e.g. FM/2), please upgrade to v7.0.
