Date: Mon, 21 Jan 2013 07:37:30 +0100 From: VOICE News Service Subject: [VOICENWS] SW: Scribus 1.4.2 for OS/2 and eComStation Released ++ From the VOICE OS/2-eCS News Service http://www.os2voice.org ++ From: paulDESPAM at DESPAMsmedley.id.au Scribus for OS/2 Warp 4 and eComStation (Scribus/2) In addition to Scribus 1.4.2 for other platforms, the OS/2 and eComStation build includes several bugfixes for issues specific to these operating systems, among them: Problems with some versions of Ghostscript have been resolved. Problems with Preferences files from earlier versions have been resolved. Scribus no longer crashes when opening ODT files or a template. Issues with running Scribus 1.4.x on eComStation 1.2 have been resolved. We strongly recommend to update to the latest Qt4 and Ghostscript versions for OS/2 and eComStation. Scribus 1.4.2 for OS/2 Warp 4 and eComStation is available via Sourceforge. The Scribus Team is very much obliged to Paul Smedley for porting Scribus to OS/2 and eComStation. If you want to support future builds of Scribus for these platforms, please visit http://os2ports.smedley.id.au/ to learn how. Thanks to the support from Serenity Systems (USA) and Mensys (The Netherlands) we have been able to test Scribus on eComStation, which helped a lot with identifying and resolving platform-specific issues.
